YES. More of this please.
please do more of the one offs!
He's not a movie star. He's a brand. He sells products for his side hustles and gets Netflix a lot of streams but he's bland, sterile, and doesn't take any risks with his career. It doesn't help that he can't act. He defaults to brand-safe, four-quadrant movies that try to appeal to as many people as possible.
The Rock hasn't put butts in seats in a long time he keeps making the same movie over and over at huge budgets
The main problem with The Rock is that he isn't funny or charming or chill and he can't relax or make a joke at his own expense. He feels constantly managed, like every decision is tested and made by committee to maximize his Q score. He never lets any actual personality through and it doesn't ever feel like he's going to surprise you.
It took Bill less than 90 seconds to use a basketball analogy.
I love bill and van coming together to collab on something they’re both passionate about. American Action Stars.
Simmons, “that looks…..awful.” 😂
The Rock doesn’t want to offend anyone. It’s all “Jingle All the Way,” and no “Terminator.”
David Bautista is probably much easier to work with and actually wants to be an actor and the rock just wants to be in movies and do his own thing. John Cena plays a lot of similar roles but it feels like he genuinely wants to act.
It feels like Dave Bautista has gone beyond anything The Rock has ever done in Hollywood. Rock may have the name recognition. But Bautista is way more highly regarded within that industry.
I'm digging Van and Bill doing more of this.
Bill is so funny without even trying lmao "i didnt know that, who knows that" "just call it Santa's kidnapped" lmao I agree!
We're so back. Perfect content. The Ringer wins again
Poor man's Arnold Schwarzenegger. Slicker but with zero self-deprecating charm.
It was over for The Rock when Black Adam crashed and burned 😢😢😢.
The last, and only, time The Rock impressed me with his performance was Be Cool. And he never went anywhere near that range ever again.
After watching Red One the Rock getting Diddy vision as the conclusion… he’s gained the unintentional comedy skill. The entire movie is unintentionally hilarious
I thought Rock was going to be the next Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Rock has no defining movie not one.
