@HydraKittten

Id argue Yes-Man is borderline sentient, seen struggling to agree with the courier's stupid decisions, expressing his own opinions, and at the end, explicitly reprogramming himself to be independent from the limitations of obeying everything said by everyone

@peppu9974

I want to have the evil toaster from new Vegas in my kitchen

@MauiWowieOwie

Ed-E was definitely sentient and even had a personality. Both Victor and Yes man also have sentience and personality as well. Both of these I doubt their creators intentionally put it, Enclave and Mr. House respectively, as they wouldn't care or bother as long as they did their jobs. I feel because of that they either developed it probably through interactions or some other reason.

@ZeePanzer

Just walk a bit with codsworth you will have all the answers you need
And KLEO too, the only assautron ingame to break her programing and develop free will (ada doesnt count because she was literally and fisically changed completely by jackson)

@shepherd2196

What’s your favorite robot in the series? I think mine’s Primm Slim, as he has a funny hat, and even funnier boots.

@facetiousmarbles3539

Here's my take before watching. It is impossible to know. Much like today's AI, or I guess even with other humans, we cannot confirm sentience without being the other person. One cannot take a seat in another person's mind to truly know if they are sentient or emulating sentience.

@user-zp8kj2cl9g

Definitely not the ones written by Emil Pagliarulo

@thesynthmanstreams

I'm surprised you didn't talk about Miss Edna in Diamond City, if you reassure her about feeling human emotions, she'll get married to the schoolhouse teacher next time you come to the city

@AlphaKnight-hg2jq

The main sink personality in the big mt tells us that they aren't actually artificial intelligence's and are basically just advanced chat bots, I assume this applies to most of the robots we see in fallout

@ReicantheJester

well, with that DLC in FO4, I'd say yes. many are indeed sentient.

@vegastrina

Before watching...I think some do gain sentience (or are born/created with it), some have clever programming, and some are advanced machines.

@LucyWest370

Festus is too advanced to be qualified on this list and definitely tops any gen 3 synth anyday

@NPGprod

I believe there are model variants we don’t necessarily see between individuals, as they aren’t marked or explicitly labeled. Between one model to the next, there was a point in which robots needed sentience dampening within their protocols, as they otherwise developed personhood. These models would inevitably decline in maintenance after the war, and their protocols would degrade: unlocking their innate sentience.

@Subject_Keter

I would say they were given more protocols and things that sound like us but you wouldnt see any nonmodified robot be able to sing and dance!

It like how dogs and cats got aspects of it but not "all" of it.

@palm_fangz1018

What is life, are we all not just a machine that learns from birth

@rococoink

😮

@akramgimmini8165

Beep Boop Communism

@PhiilipJones17678

Are fallout robots submissive and breedable?
