I’ve had the Ryobi 18 volt version of that for a few years now, with a couple of 1.5 ah batteries. I’ll never go back to a hand stapler. Zero issues with it tearing insulation or fabric, pinching wires, or destroying “printed” vinyl. Get the matching brad nailer if it’s on sale - you’ll use it more often than the staple gun.
I am a firearms instructor and we have the Ryobi one at the range, it’s a lifesaver for posting targets day in and out.
Ryobi makes one as well. For the home owner it's perfect. I have one and couldn't be happier. Was free when I bought a battery 2 pack.
I did the same thing. I got the stapler as a novelty when it first came out and I ended up loving the tool.
I have the milwaukee stapler its awesome i love all the m12 tools
I'll give you some advice on how to tell the fake Milwaukee tools from the real Milwaukee tools on Amazon. There are NO authorized Milwaukee Tool retailers on Amazon.
Killer recommendation! Thanks JR. 2 batts with the kit is a no brainer.
I agree. I have the Ryobi one. Love it. Except I always loan it out when I need it.
I have that stapler and it truly is worth the money. It sure beats cramping your hands with the old chrome T-50 stapler...
Did flooring with my Dad growing up and we always used the hammer staplers for stapling whatever underlay. For stapling down it's fine, as gravity does most of the work and you get good at the rhythm and strength control after a while. There will always be the odd one here and there that will tear through the material, so I can see how that gets annoying for things like vapour barrier on a wall when you have to hit a 2x4 edge on rather than having the forgiveness of floor underlay.
I have a Ryobi version. Ryobi, Ridgid, Heart, and Milwaukee power tools are manufactured by TTi.
Back in the late 90's I had a Makita 9.6 stick pack stapler. Then a few years later I switched to Ryobi, when they were blue, and got their stapler. Still have it but might need to pick up the Milwaukee when I need more batteries. Tech tip, don't use batt style insulation in the basement. I've done a few and the best method is 3" pink foam on the walls, then 2x4 framing laying flat masonry screwed with 2" pink foam in between. Quiet and moisture resistant.
I bought one of these today and you were exactly right - a game changer. I need to re-insulate my garage and this will make it soooo much easier.
I have a 50 year old hand stapler I inherited from my dad. It is the only one I’ve used that doesn’t fatigue my hands. I also have a plug in electric. It does the job ok, but makes the lights flicker in every house in my neighborhood 😂 Glad to see there is a good alternative.
i got the 1/2 inch stubby impact i love that thing
I bought the Milwaukee electric stapler years ago, best stapler ever to secure insulation with…. It was inexpensive as well, back when I bought it (tool only, had the chargers and batteries already) was like $49, this was in 2017/2018
The older orange handle slap stapler worked great.
I purchased a Ryobi stapler to finish restoring my pool table. Best money every spend. It will definitely come in handy when finishing the basement or redoing upholstery on my dining set.
Best stapler video I've seen this year!
