@oury2442

Being an owner of a Gen 1 Standard+ R1S, I love to hear about the charging behavior change. So happy I went with this configuration!

@frumpd63

Fold flat seats sounds awesome until you realize that they require the seats to have ZERO side bolstering. Not sure about you, but I tend to drive my vehicle around corners more often than I need to carry super long objects.

@EAGLE-34-

To many Good news thank you 🙏

@loganrossignol

Tbh I think I like the bright emblems. The only thing I like being darked out is the chrome strip on the R1S

@vishalontheline

Makes you wonder how many other features will be taken out in time for production for the R2. Maybe they shouldn't have promised so much during the launch event. Pretty sad to see that the front seats won't be folding flat.

@Jmaninaz1

Yes, a bummer that the front seats will not fold flat on the R2 as shown in the launch, and Rivian rarely makes a mis-step like this, but so it goes--no person is perfect and neither is a company perfect, so mistakes will happen. That being said, it is in no way, shape or form a deal breaker for me, anyway, as the rest of the R2 is beautifully designed. I bet with the rear seats folded flat and the front seats slid forward, most people will still be able to comfortably car camp in it, but of course, we'll know more about that once exact specs are released. In any event, I made a R2 reservation, and I am certainly NOT going to cancel my reservation over a relatively minor design change--I think as far as I know this would have been the first SUV ever for the front seats to fold flat, so it is not like any other car has this feature (I could be wrong about that, but I am sure not aware of another SUV where the front seats fold perfectly flat), so I am used to car not having this feature . So it goes and I am sure Rivian will learn from this mis-step--adapt and overcome, and remember the rest of the vehicle looks awesome! Great report, Mike!

@fpartidafpartida

Not sure why the lighting feature is for Gen 2 only. The Gen 1 are LEDs, so you would think it’s just software control update.

@nickolashaustein

I noticed all of the 2025 Rivian R1T’s they have ready are under $100K that qualify for the $7500 lease credit. I ordered my configuration and it came to $104K. I’m wondering if the vehicle cost has to be less than $100K to qualify for the lease credit?

@oranbooker1356

Question, when is Rivian changing the charging port?
