"It was carefully pulled out..."
AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH

@KoharoTV

Strange way to become a king

For 1500s standards this is a lot better than other treatments

@yasuo977

That doctor was a damn genius in those days.

@acesbricks9310

For anyone who wants to know, the surgeon who has made the special device for pulling out the arrow safely, was John Bradmore.

"This allowed it to be carefully pulled out"
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH"

@D201-o4k

This is honestly a surprisingly advanced technique for the time period

@joshowawood1786

This must’ve been unbelievably painful

@chriscross2388

I’m pretty sure the Surgeon also used honey as an antibacterial agent to prevent infection. It was one of the earlier known uses of Honey’s antibacterial capabilities!

“An arrow lodged into his cheek”
Is the definitely the best conversation starter.

@BrentLewis-d8o

"Carefully" pulled out💀

@Datsick311

Man Henry V was on another level. I’d love to go back in time and meet him

@Wodenseyes

The wound was treated with honey, not alcohol

@ScorpionX669

I'm sure somebody went back in time and said apply bees shit and you'll be cured of infection
Lol

@unitled_channel

"This allowed it to be carefully pulled out"

meanwhile the boy screaming and moving

@alexbrubaker4030

Medical historian here- The wound was NOT in fact, treated with alcohol- but with clover honey on a fabric wrapped dowel, the size of which was decreased very slightly each day, as the wound healed. This is, however, an AWESOME demonstration of the Bradmore arrow extractor.

@CJStation64

“This allowed it to be carefully pulled out”
Shows arrow being pulled out in a fast motion while the man screams

@covitaignicris7558

This is basically 14th century term for surviving a headshot

"the arrow is carefully pulled out"

*aggressive shaking and screaming*

@Ryl-oth

In the 1500s you were more likely to survive getting shot in the face with an arrow than the flu 😭😭
