To this day one of my favourite videos of all time. I watch this to feel better
That smile from Trent at the end, priceless.
It's crazy that all three play/sound exactly like their respective bands, but they all work so well together. Trent's keyboard has that future tech rock sound like NIN. Josh has that perfect QOTSA sound. and Dave as always is a monster on drums.
What's amazing about this isn't that it's some SUPER complicated piece, it's that it's done so technically flawlessly by each musician. A masterclass of talent in that room, pretty incredible.
Grohl can really hold the tempo without a click track, it's such a valuable thing. He is really amazing.
Anything Trent writes is HYPNOTIC
Some of the best musicians of a generation all in the same room making magic.
One of my favorite rock instrumentals. If there's ever a new Them Crooked Vultures album, Trent should be added to the line-up.
Garage band forms. Lead singer: "We still need a drummer, though." Dave Grohl materializes out of thin air.
This is what i call a quality jam. Look a Trents face, almost a tiny smile there๐
I love how the mixing engineer gets some of the spotlight too. People underappreciate them just 'cos it's hard to see the part they play.
Trent is so intense. Love how Dave Grohl and Josh Homme were part of this. NIN always mesmerized me. Dave adds to the mystery of Trent's music.
Stuff like this reminds me why being human can be beautiful. Creativity is the biggest gift we get. I love seeing people take that to the highest level. ๐
I love Trent's smile at the end, I like to imagine him thinking 'yeah, I definitely picked the right guys for this' but also when he's watching Dave he subtly shakes his head and you just got to know he's thinking, HOW? Such an amazing performance by three GOATS ๐ค
Favorite part is at 5:09, when the sound engineer realizes he achieved his life's dream.
This is a fine example of a collaboration of respect. They have all contained themselves and offered enough to contribute to one another without over-stepping. Forsaking the self to contribute to the whole.
It's crazy, here's 3 of my favorite rock vocalists and.... They're not singing. Love it.
I never noticed Reznor playing ghost notes above the keyboard during that break. That's cool that even an experienced performer like him does that.
I'd love a whole album of these three working together, sheer bliss
