Unbelievable. Amazing sound, clear, louder vocals. Sounds beautiful.
You gotta listen to this song at least 6 times: 1st: George’s lovely vocals 2nd: George’s perfect lead guitar 3rd: John’s silent yet present rhythm guitar 4th: Paul’s insane bass (personal favorite) 5th: Ringo’s powerful drums 6th: George Martin’s hauntingly beautiful orchestra
Paul's bassline adds so much to this masterpiece.
One of the most beautiful songs of all time. Period.
"George had a smugness on his face when he came in with this one, and rightly so – he knew it was absolutely brilliant. And for the first time, John and Paul knew that George had risen to their level"."Paul started playing a bass line that was a little elaborate, and George told him, 'No, I want it simple.' Paul complied. There wasn't any disagreement about it, but I did think that such a thing would never happened in years past. George telling Paul how to play the bass? Unthinkable! But this was George's baby, and everybody knew it was an instant classic". Geoff Emerick
Paul’s melodic bass on this is pure perfection.
Their sound.....It's getting better and better
Something in the way she moves Attracts me like no other lover Something in the way she woos me I don't want to leave her now You know I believe and how Somewhere in her smile she knows That I don't need no other lover Something in her style that shows me I don't want to leave her now You know I believe and how You're asking me will my love grow I don't know, I don't know You stick around, now it may show I don't know, I don't know Something in the way she knows And all I have to do is think of her Something in the things she shows me I don't want to leave her now You know I believe and how
"Something in the way she moves, attracts me like a cauliflower." -John Lennon 1969
The vocals are so clear its insane
Hands down one of the most beautiful bass lines ever written.
The drums, the bass, George’s voice.. even more beautiful than we’ve ever heard :)
The bass in this song is sublime.
Sometimes simplicity is the purest form of beauty. This song, with its simple and honest lyrics that are devoid of drama about a man on the cusp of falling in love, just feels real. And that makes it truly beautiful.
Imagine being in a band with John Lennon and Paul McCartney and yet YOU write the best song on the album. George was amazing, RIP
we're not gonna talk about how TASTY that guitar solo was?
1965 : the beatles 2000 : the beatles 2010 : the beatles 2019 : the beatles 9999 : the beatles
One of the things I love about The Beatles is listening to the journey of George's evolution, you have these two songwriting powerhouses in Lennon/McCartney making masterpieces left right and centre from the beginning and then at the very end they finally both agreed that their overshadowed 'little brother' made the best song in their final album together as the Beatles.
That last ‘Something in the way she knows...’ verse onward is just magical. Paul & George singing together !!!
