It's definitely more user friendly than the 1st gen Viper, but it's just as much a purebred race car for the street. It simply has more logical features that the 1st gen didn't have... like side windows and a roof. Oh and door handles on the outside.

i drove many of these super cars for a job i had back when i was young and when i finally had a chance to drive a Viper i went in thinking i was going to hate it but it was the complete opposite. i loved how they kept everything basic yet you could still go as fast as your heart desires. till this day the Viper still makes me smile everytime i see it cause whatever i felt for that few hours the owner of the car must be on another level happy owning and driving it all the time. hope they bring it back one day but with the way the world is i can only dream.
