I bought the ark and I thought the sound was amazing until I heard the ultra so I swapped it out. added a mini sub and a sub 4 and four 100s and two 300s and omg talking about amazing sound. It blows every sound system I’ve ever had out of the water Sonos is definitely the way to go.

Great review! Hope you do well. Picked up an Arc Ultra, and if anything he is understanding how great this sound bar is on its own. My main system is Kef towers, receiver, and all the other stuff. The Sonos bar Arc Ultra is amazing. Dont believe me or anyone else. buy it at a place with a good return policy just in case u dont like it. That wont be the case

Best Review so Far that I've seen. So I'm getting the Ultra for my daughters big living room(approx. 25' x 25') paired with a Samsung 77" S90D, but her bedroom which is big too (approx. 22'x 22" ), I was thinking of going with just the Arc ( same TV as living room). Can they stream Spotify on the Arc from their phone or do they need to get the Ultra with Bluetooth? Is it worth it for the Upgrade from Arc to Ultra? thank you

Hello, question for you. Just replaced my arc with the ultra. Thinking of replacing my surround 1's with the era 300. Do I have to do the Trueplay all over again ? Thank you. Also liked your video. Very informative.

Sold my OG Arc for $500, got 15% off Ultra so I only paid $350 for my ultra. For me it was a no brainer. Love the sound. More detail, better bass out of my subs (lower crossover), they pair very well with the 300s (Arc was a little underpowered for the 300s as surrounds), atmos ‘dome’ is noticeably better, dialogue is improved. I also bet over the next few months with some updates Sonos will really dial the Ultra in. If you’re in the market for a new soundbar and can afford it then get the Ultra.

Bonjour , j’ai la Playbar sonos . Je voudrais la garder et acheter les Era 100. Mais apparemment ce n’est pas possible ( compatible) . Pourtant l’application est toujours compatible avec la Playbar . Que se passera t’il quand j’installerai les Era dans mon système. L’application les refusera car il y la Playbar d’installer ? Ou il les configurera mais ne elle ne pourras fonctionner en même temps que la Playbar ? Je comprends pas à quel moment ça va bloquer ..

Since it’s not an audiophile bookshelf speaker, the grading scale will be diluted because of screen based content scoring vs only music. From traditional speaker performance scoring, empirically, the Ultra is significantly better (as most audiophiles believe incremental improvements in FR curves, opennesss, separation, etc as big point winners) For loud movie soundtracks, the performance metrics are much more narrrow. For me, having a wide room, the blend between the Ultra and Era 300ms is much more seamless. With the better WiFi and SOC, I also hear much less overall compression compared to my old Arc+300s. The entire system is lifted due to the bump in electrical components. There is much more soundtrack detail in the Ultra. It is clear that Sonos developed the Ultra to be a $1000 soundboard. Whereas the Arc was positioned at $799.

I will be purchasing the Arc Ultra ... I need to purchase everything in 3 steps (budget). Should I purchase the Era 300s as my second addition and then the Gen 4 Sub? I should I purchase the Gen 4 sub second and then the Era 300s?

I’ll stick to my OG Arc for now until Sonos listen to its consumers. 2 things why - the dialogue is still low on arc ultra. They should forget about the bass. No one uses a soundbar without a separate sub anyway. 2. Sonos should add an hdmi for input so we can plug in streaming devices directly.
