Reykjavik actually has a pretty good bus system, and there are WAY cheaper ways to get from the airport to the city than a taxi.

@kensmith979

Two years ago I came to Iceland and rented a small camper van for 7 days for $560. That is $80/day for lodging and transportation. I stayed in safe parking lots, so no campground type fees. You can pay about $5 and get a shower at campgrounds even if you donโ€™t stay there. There is a Costco in Reykjavik so I bought groceries, which kept my eating expenses down and allowed for a restaurant dinner each night. Everywhere takes credit card; no need to exchange money. A really great trip. Travel doesnโ€™t have to be fancy or overly expensive to have a good time.

@IvoryTrance

I just came back from Iceland, only spent 1 day in the capital though. You dont go to Iceland to stay in the capital, you go to explore the island and its beauty. Highly recommend you go back to visit the nature it offers, one of the best experiences of my life. I travelled from Canada.

@its_karthi_yoo

Iceland is one of my top 10 favorite countries๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ธ
My things to do list in Iceland
1. Visiting the capital city Reykjavik
2. Travel around the golden circle using the camper van
3. Blue lagoon
4. Glacier hike
5. And of course chasing aurora borealis
I'd prefer to rent a convenient a car and buy your own grocery supplies and cook your own food because it's expensive dining out. I heard some rental companies may provide butane stove so do your research on that.

@giannishen

The prices in Iceland are much more expensive than I thought, but the video is still very interesting, thank you very much for sharing! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ™

We visited Iceland last year and did a road trip around the whole country. My 3 favorite places were landmanalugar, the west man island, and the Westfords. Some other highlights, kayaking around the glacier bay near diamond beach. We loved horse back riding in the mountains. And hiking the volcano! The glaciers are beautiful, do a tour to hike it! It is an incredible country! So many great places!!

@ChinaDollTravels

I went to Iceland ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ธ a year ago and loved it! I agree it is expensive but it was a good experience! These $100 challenges are fun to watch ๐Ÿ˜…

@letsrolloutnyc

Wow $9 for gas is expensive. Itโ€™s crazy how expensive it over there. I hope they get paid very well to survive over there.

@thetravelingirishman4372

I just got back from there it was very expensive but great food and beer!!! The excursions were great and expensive too. Beautiful country Iโ€™d love to do more!!

@SmokeOneAndChill

Awesome memories about Iceland. I lived for 7 months in Reykjavik in 2010. A cool internship at the hostel near the gym/pool.

@mayrapena6775

Love when you do this type of videos and help budget travelers

@MrSgtau

I visited Iceland in October 2021 during Covid, and loved the country. Yes, everything is very expensive there, including the restaurants, so I survived off those great hotdogs which cost about $4.25 at the time and cooked food from the supermarket at my hostel. Are the hotdogs really more than $7 now? There's a bus from the airport into town that costs much less than a taxi. What I liked about Reykjavik is that there were walking paths everywhere, so I could walk anywhere that I needed to go. An awesome walk is out to the Grotta lighthouse. Very close to the lighthouse, there's a pool of thermal water where you can dip your weary feet for relaxation while looking at the bay. There are several swimming pools around Reykjavik, and I recommend a daily visit to each one to dip in the hot water.

Hey Brett first of all really thank you for doing such an amazing content throughout , but boy I do not know have you somehow read my mind ?? for the last couple of days I was doing some homework on Iceland and was planning how much I will have to save in order to afford a trip to this beautiful place on earth and boom I see you uploading a fresh content that too on Iceland.

Yesterday Iceland reached 394,000 inhabitants and some 2.3 million tourists expected over 2023. That young man toward the end is so right, and the young can't or few can make that downpayment on an apartment

@VitoriVitaTV

Thank you for this video, Brett! ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜ Watching from Canada! ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ
