I see JRโs Dad in the thumbnail and itโs an immediate watch! That manโs knowledge and ability to pass it on is incredible.
I can only imagine the side projects, spare parts and maybe-Iโll-use-it-someday-items your dad has squirreled away in that shop.
John Ross your dad needs a whole side channel, not like you haven't heard that before. He's a treasure, and shows where all of your knowledge came from.
I watched the whole thing. I wish I understood it. I love listening to people talk about subjects they know a lot about. Impressive.
I love when JR has his dad on. Man explains things the way I can understand. Reminds me of being in HS auto shop back in the 90s.
It's so cool your Pop is ok with being on camera. What a wealth of knowledge. I've helped with a few manual transmissions, but automatics are still some sort of black magic for me. The fact that a bunch of ball bearings, some springs and a coupla pistons that look way too small to push a vehicle mystifies me. And unlike this particular GM model, some work and work and work and rarely fail. Amazing! Thanks for your time and a special thanks to your Pop for taking the time!!!!
Your dad is a throwback. He talks just like the older men I knew when I was a kid in the 80s - guys who were WW2 and Korean war vets. When men were men.
Finally the brains ๐ง of the operation is back! Cudos to Sr Ross! Should have his own channel for us old farts!๐จ I can see where JR gets his ambition from!! ๐ค๐๐ป๐๐ซก๐บ๐ธ
Love dad content โค
Yay, your super-dad again! He seriously needs a channel of his own!
Quite a skill talking without dropping that toothpick!
I never miss an episode that includes your Dad. I could listen to him explain and tell stories all day.
Blimy that takes me back. I rebuilt my 700R4 in my 88 IROC-Z and put a B&M shift kit on it. I swear that thing shifted as fast as a modern DCT, it was snappy !. Here in the UK there was no resource or help to assist me with this box so i was on my own.
Ah! The 'Chuck Norris' of Mechanics, is back! Great to see your dad back in front of a camera, sharing his wisdom. Happy Hogmanay from Scotland ๐
It's a joy to watch you and your Dad work together. Cheers JR!
This was interesting to watch. Very cool to have your Pops with you. I couldn't stop watching this for some reason. Great information, even though I'd probably never use it, but I enjoyed it. God Bless ๐
Same last name and it is like watching Bob Ross very knowledgeable and calm almost like the asmr stuff popโs teaching transmission rebuild a nice little spring here and scotch bright that little burr lil grease over here ๐
Hello from Oklahoma! My grandfather rebuilt transmissions for 40 yrs. Wish I learned how to build them before he passed. Iโve washed plenty of transmission parts growing up lol
My 93 Buick Roadmaster Woody Wagon had the tow package with clutch fan and separate trans cooler, that trans was fantastic with no issues. The ones without the tow package died quickly. Temp control helps a ton, especially in Colorado thin mountain air
