Local Photography Shop : "How many lenses do you need" ? Sawyerhartman: "Yes"
This video π₯π₯π₯ I identify myself as an amature/intermediate photographer. When people see my work compared to the locals i always hear im so different. The reason why is cause i look for story, details. Simplicity, and whats GOING ON with Action! What is the subject doing? Where are they going? Why are they going there? And most people around here try to capture a theme instead of the STORY and ACTION.
1. photos are too busy; too much is going on 2. train your eye; focus on actions 3. bring props 4. put things in between you and your subject 5. tell a story (practice telling a story with a few pictures, then with one)
I love how everytime you post a "5 tips to ..." they're not just your regular standard tips but actually tips that you will need in your career and make you a better photographer in the long run by looking at composition, learning about contrast in both colour & black and white and being more creative and thoughtful before pressing the shutter.
Such great information!! Thank you. And that winery is truly amazing π
Absolutely loving your new content
All valid and useful; and if youβre smart youβll take these as tips not rules. Then they will be the most useful in your photos. Great stuff Sawyer!
You said you'd make more videos about photography this year. Please do alot of them because you give tips and actual mindset shifts that really make a difference. You are teaching us alot.
Very insightful. Thank you for sharing, Sawyer. π€
Thank you Sawyer for all you do to entertain us and to get us better at our photography game!!! I also recently bought your Leica Looks preset pack and I LOVE IT, I am considering buying your other preset packs. I just need the money first π
Just so you know 4:47 and 5:03 are credited wrong. The photographer is @geoleon on Instagram. Gramslayers is just a feature page.
Your channel is everything God bless you and your family
The reason why I love photography is when you catch epic memories on film, best thing is to later on go back and look at all the photos and remember how fun you had and the memories comes back.
Wooo, I loved the tips on story telling. Thanks for the upload π
Great advice! That Noctilux tells a story of its own though. Absolutely stunning
Saw your live!!! Had to come and watch!!!! Love youuuu
Sawyer, you are such a inspiration! About 3 years ago I stumbled upon your YouTube channel and I saw your videos on photography and vlogging. You inspired me to do photography and take it do a high level. Your tutorials and videos are so helpful to me because they help me change my photography to make it better. Photography is such a cool and different way that is photographers can show what we can create. I love your motto NEVER STOP CREATING. I use that saying a lot and it means a lot to me. The pictures of your pre-set packs are astonishing would love to play with the pack on some pictures!! Thank you for all the work you do. Also thank you for liking some of my pictures on my Instagram photography page @nathanielbrowningphotography. Never stop creating.
Liked. Saved. Downloaded to watch offline. Holy shit, number 5 helps so much and MAKES SO MUCH SENSE. I have such a hard time with "story." I never thought to try to do it with multiple photos, then narrow it down as you get better at it. I'm going to make this a personal five month challenge and spend a month practicing and building on each topic.
Awesome video! Thanks for all the tips!
