W800, nice balanced looking machine. Classy.
I bought a used 2022 W800 in 2023. Liked it but I was hungry for a sportier bike so I bought a new Z900RS in 2024. I like them both. They are retro but have different characteristics.
I couldn't make up my mind, so I got a W800 cafe and a Z900rs SE. They are two different experiences, to be sure. I just knew that whichever bike I chose, I would also be missing what the other bike had to offer.
I'm a soon (ish?) to be owner of a Z900rs. I appreciate posting a recent review when so many other bikes are getting tons of attention for new and shiny (expensive?) tech.
Hi Peter - nice bikes again
I’d honestly take it in the standard z900 trim. I love how upright they made it. For a while I really wanted a W800 in cardinal red, but then I discovered Adv’s. Still a gorgeous bike though.
Cool motorcycles! Nice comparisons.
Kawasaki nailed it with the RS line of motorcycles, great blend of retro and current. I personally would love seeing a four cylinder 400cc addition in the RS line up.
Excellent review be the W800 for me but do like the Z900rs too
Nice review. I have still not seen a w 800 we must not get to many in the USA
Love my W650 (2001)
W. True retro, but you must love the old British twins. If you do perfect.
Z900rs every day.
I love the W800!!!
The old w800 halogen headlights are marvellous! I have a few niggles about the bike but the headlights are definitely not one of them. Nice broad spread of light and a lengthy throw. In fact they’re better than the LEDs on my previous Triumph Bonneville. The main beam can be seen from Mars! Totally emphatically disagree with you there! 😂
In the US, the environmental standard is not Euro 5+ from this year? Still Euro5?? Also Z900rs is Euro5 yet. Is't it?
There are a lot of bikes like th w800. For instance the Triumph Bonneville mosle rang, several Royal Enfields, the BSA 650 to name a view.
Lovely wine red Zed. Have you experienced any throttle issues with yours?
How much ?
