Supporting children in the foster care system

20 0________

Arizona has thousands of children living in foster care and group homes. CASA, or Court Appointed Special Advocates, believe these children need someone to stand up for them. A CASA is a court-appointed advocate crucial for children in the foster care system.

While CASA volunteers are needed all year long, the holiday season highlights the need for children to be heard, feel hope and have a sense of normalcy. A CASA can be the difference between a child feeling lost in the system and feeling heard and supported.

Tiffany Hunter, a Child Enrichment Specialist at VOICES for CASA Children, joined “Arizona Horizon” to discuss the importance of CASA volunteers and how you can become one.
