This pattern is great for toddler-preschool aged children, but the straps can be adjusted for bigger kids.

The carrier can be embellished any way you like, and is perfect for using up old scraps of fabric, less than a half of a yard. If you are into upcycling, a pillowcase is a great alternative. If you don't want to make a fully lined version, you can make this with a fat quarter!
