
Monaco Upper Belt Line Repair (May 2023)

Supplies
Stainless Steel rivets - We used 18-8 Stainless Steel Blind Rivets, Domed Head, 3/16" Diameter, for 0.751"-0.875" Material Thickness. (McMaster-Carr or Albany Albany (Approximately 100 rivets / beltline)
13/64 drill bits (At least 1/beltline) WITH a stop collar set at 1"
ProFlex clear RV caulk (Approximately 1 tube / beltline)
Caulk removal tools
Plastic razor blades
3-in-1 caulk removal tool
small nylon bristle bush
DeSolveIt Contractor's caulk removal or Boesheild T-9
3" painter's tape
Denatured alcohol (for cleaning before caulk application)
nitrile gloves (for caulk application)
mineral spirits (for smoothing Proflex and cleanup))
Patience... LOTS and LOTS of patience

Drill
Air rivet gun & compressor OR Heavy Duty (two handled) pop rivet gun (single-lever handheld rivet guns struggle to handle stainless steel pop rivets)
caulk gun
scaffolding (strongly preferred) or ladder (?)
utility knife (& extra blades)
