Beginner sewists must have tools 🌟💕🐝🐚🌼

Before you start sewing, here are a few tool you might be needing

🌟 Unpicker
This will soon become you best friend while sewing. My best recommendation is get one with a longer handle part, therefore you can have more controls whilst unpicking.

💕 Pins
Don’t go cheep on pins. You will have them for years so buy good quality ones, for most beginners you will just need standard “dress makers pins” sold at most fabric stores.

🐝Gutermann thread
I am a ride or die for Gutermann thread, the best quality and never snaps whilst sewing, I tend to get the polyester 100m for my sewing projects, but you can get them all the way up to 500m

🐚Snips
One of my pet peeves is loose thread tails in my finished sewing garment, so I make sure to have several pairs of snips around my sewing studio. Snips cost around $2-3 per pair and are well worth the investment.

🌼Fabric and paper scissors
There is a difference ok ! Make sure you have both. Fabric scissors for fabric and only fabric. Paper scissors for cutting out paper sewing patterns. I like to put a little ribbon on my paper ones as a quick way of distinguishing between the two.
