However, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who was not invited to the discussions, has firmly stated that Ukraine will not accept any deal made without its direct involvement.

Daniel Rothenberg, Professor at the ASU Center on the Future of War, joined Arizona Horizon to discuss the implications of these negotiations. He highlighted how the Russian invasion has unified Europe, with NATO expansion strengthening military alliances. While the future of U.S.-Ukraine relations remains uncertain, Rothenberg emphasized that any agreement lacking respect for Ukrainian sovereignty is unlikely to be accepted.
