Atlantis Local TV - September 2019
In the September episode of Atlantis Local TV, we take a look into Atlantis’ Hurricane Dorian Relief Efforts.
Atlantis has committed three million dollars in aid to the short and long-term recovery of Grand Bahama and Abaco, the two islands affected by the storm. Additionally, we have partnered with chef and humanitarian Jose Andres and his organization World Central Kitchen to provide kitchen space, volunteers, and logistical support to help feed over half a million meals to Bahamians displaced and impacted by the disaster.
As the leading Corporate Citizen in The Bahamas, Atlantis has developed a reputation among its employees for Nurturing a Spirit of Giving. In the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Dorian, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) reached out to the Atlantis Team for help, that spawned a new public/private partnership dedicated answer the call from those in need.
In the Nassau area, Atlantis and its partners continue the work of Building Communities. Alongside the recent Community Service Awards winning organization “Lend a Hand Bahamas” Atlantis hosted a luncheon to give young members of the Grant’s Town Community an opportunity to pitch business ideas to a panel of executives.
The Amethyst Awards celebrate the best of Atlantis; the People that bring the resort to life make a connection with our many guests. We take time to recognize, reward and celebrate their efforts to make Atlantis Bahamas remarkable!
