Western Invasion! Ferromex and Union Pacific on the Southern: April 24, 2018
On a rainy evening in Orange, Virginia, we caught a quartet of trains with quite the variety of power to be had.
After the pair of southbound Amtrak's, and some slight delays to both freight trains, we caught hotshot intermodal 203 heading south with a Ferromex ES44AC leading the way, and a couple of Norfolk Southern motors behind. Meeting manifest 36Q at Weyburn a few miles south of town, we then caught said train with yet another Ferromex ES44AC leading, but this time it was a pair of Union Pacific motors in tow, including a former Chicago & Northwestern D9-44CW in the third spot.
Hope Everyone Enjoys!
