Two Christmas Skirts, and Ellen Griswold Cosplay

Hello Everyone!

Thanks for checking out my video! Here's all the information I can think of that would be relevant to this video.

First, I make a red felt half circle skirt, I intended to make a full circle but I must have used this fabric and forgot. I recommend buying at least 2 yards. The snowflake sequins I bought from the dollar section at target many years ago. The pattern you see isn't important, its just a circle skirt, you can easily look up the formula online.

Second, the green/black dress was purchased at Costco over a month ago, I'm not sure if they're still selling it, but you can easily use this same technique on any other dress that has a pleated waistline. The reason the pleats are important is so that you can let out the extra fabric and resize to fit your needs!

Third, I do not have footage of me making the Ellen Griswold shorts. They're just green corduroy I bought at the antique mall and the pattern is just loose fitting shorts with darts instead of pleats, and the opening is in the pocket. I'm hoping to post a video in the future about how I do this pocket, it is my preferred method. And of course, I'm holding a moose mug!

Fourth, the spider brooch was something I bought from a friend, I'm not sure if its vintage but I have seen them on etsy. Just search "giant spider brooch."

The poem about the Christmas Spider I'm reading is not the original story, and I've tried to research it, but I can't find the true origin. Apparently, I'm the last person to know this story...
